We were subcontractors on a project creating a ward in an existing building for the purpose of dedicated care for the elderly suffering from dementia. On this project we provided the complete electrical package of lighting, small power, data networking and specialist media products.
Due to the unique purpose of the wing, Electrical Estimates worked closely with the client and end user to provide an aesthetically pleasing yet robust solution to ensure that the electrical systems meet the relevant standards. Specific care was taken to ensure that lighting provided a good level of functional illumination whilst still creating a warm environment.
As a first for the company, we engaged the services of a specialist media installation company to provide living sky panels in the main corridor, which can display a variety of moving and still images to create a sense of an outside environment in an existing corridor that had no natural light.
