Phase 3 of the Vale of Rheidol’s regeneration project involved the refurbishment of the old carriage shed to create a multi-use and museum space.
This was a complex project to work on, working alongside many specialist trades under the main contractor Afan Construction. We worked closely with the VOR design team to ensure our install methods for the lighting and power were in keeping with the heritage of the building, and a balance was struck between the practical and aesthetics nature of the installation.
The lighting comprised of suspended dimmable high bay fittings as well as concealed low wattage flood lights to highlight the ceiling, special care was taken with the portico lighting from both high and low level. Electrical Estimates also engaged the services of local specialists to ensure the fire alarm and CCTV systems met the requirements of the building.
